Transparent CAD assembly of the wind-up crab toy.

Overview

Reverse-engineered a wind-up crab toy, modeled its components in SolidWorks, and recreated its motion in a fully assembled CAD model.

My Role

  • Disassembled the toy to understand how its mechanism generated and transferred motion.
  • Modeled each part and rebuilt the assembly with accurate part relationships.
  • Applied gear mates and produced an exploded view and animation.
