Overview
Designed and built miniature wind turbines for Science Olympiad, optimizing blade geometry and materials for fan-driven voltage testing.
My Role
- Compared lift-based and drag-based blade concepts.
- Tested PLA, balsa, and saran wrap with different manufacturing methods.
- Formed curved balsa blades using molds, wetted sheets, and controlled drying.
- Refined blade curvature, radius, and configuration through repeated testing.
